It's never been easier: How to get your child to eat healthier

No parent has struggled at least once in their life to get their child to eat something healthy. We all know that this process is not easy. Such a battle would leave them exhausted and frustrated. You spend part of your day preparing food, knowing that your child will refuse to eat it because it is "too healthy".

It is not a problem to fall into a loop from which it is difficult to find a way out. Just imagine every meal that begins with you saying, "You have to eat that to be healthy", and on the other hand, you get a counter-argument, "No, I don't like it". If we want to "trick" children into eating something healthy, we need to find a way to achieve success without just relying on dry facts about vitamins and minerals.

Strategic Blending: Finding the "Bait" for Change

Whether it's about work or family, I've learned that there are no results unless you establish a meaningful connection with your readers, in this case, with your child. To find that special something and separate it from the many pieces of information, you need a "bait", something that will interest your child.

For example, one of my child's favorite dishes is Bolognese. Of course, if you ask my child, she would eat meat, tomatoes, and pasta. After a long time struggling to prepare a dish that would be both healthy and appealing to my child, I made a discovery.

I started thinking about how to add all the vegetables that wouldn't be visible on the plate. I remembered the blender. And yes, that's all the wisdom. Every time I made the famous sauce, I would chop broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and a few other vegetables in a blender. When I finally got a vegetable paste, I would add the meat and tomatoes towards the end of cooking. I know my child likes it thicker, and with vegetables, I got just that. And lo and behold, in the end, without even realizing it, she ends up eating a plate full of vitamins and minerals.

Beyond the Plate: Creating Sustainable Habits

To ensure that meals are not part of a monotonous rhythm, I make sure the routine is both natural and enjoyable. By creating new habits, you will no longer feel like just an observer. You will be a participant who will make everything better. A simple blender trick offers you a way out of the loop and a direct path to better nutrition. Ultimately, the most important thing is to find peace at the table, because there is nothing better than when the plates are empty.
